The Very Simple Hack To Bring Limp Celery Back To Life
By Crystal Antonace
If you find yourself with a heap of limp celery, simply cut off the bottom layer and submerge the stalks in a glass of cold water with the leaves hanging out the top.
Store the glass of celery in your refrigerator for a few hours or overnight, and the stalks will crisp up beautifully, restoring the necessary moisture lost in the storage process.
Celery is made up of 95% water, and it begins to lose some of its internal moisture after it's purchased and tucked away in your refrigerator's crisper drawer.
However, properly storing your celery from the time you bring it home means you won't have to make any eventual last-ditch attempts at reviving this hydrating vegetable.
