The Type Of Butter Ina Garten Can't Stop Using
By Kalea Martin
Ina Garten is a chef that’s not known for settling with store-bought ingredients, but when she does, she only picks the highest of quality. Her butter of choice is no exception, and when she doesn’t stick with her usual preferred brand of Cabot unsalted butter, her other go-to option is one that is so special it can only be purchased online.
For the best way to add some flair to your next dish, Garten recommends sticking with truffle butter, noting that, "It really turns up the volume on everything from simple scrambled eggs to elegant fettuccine." Garten prefers Urbani's white truffle butter, but recommends D'Artagnan brand white truffle butter for home chefs who take affordability into consideration.
Garten revealed she orders six tubs of truffle butter at a time and keeps them in the freezer so she always has on hand. Apart from roasting turkey with truffle butter, Garten also shared that she includes it in her pasta dishes, including mushroom fettuccine, mac and cheese, and tagliarelle.
