Transporting a dessert from your home to a party can come with its own set of challenges, but thankfully Ina Garten has a neat towel trick that ensures a safe journey.
On her website, Garten demonstrates this trick by dampening a kitchen towel and sticking it under the holding plate of your dessert.
Similar to how putting a damp kitchen towel under a cutting board prevents it from sliding around, this hack creates friction between the plate and the floor of the trunk.
This effectively reduces the movement that makes it so hard to travel with certain desserts. Even through bumpy roads and sharp turns, your dessert will stay in place.
