The Sweet Way To Make Canned Carrots Taste Much Better
By Grace Allison
Although canned carrots are convenient, they can taste bland. However, with pantry staples like sugar, honey, or maple syrup, you can make them sweeter and more flavorful.
To elevate the natural sweetness of carrots and complement their earthy and woody flavor, you need to glaze them. Start by choosing a quality brand of canned carrots.
Drain the carrots and set them to the side. In a heated skillet, melt butter and sugar together until the mixture bubbles, and then add your carrots.
Cook them for about 2 to 3 minutes until they're hot and sticky. Serve these quick and delicious carrots warm for an indulgent side or snack.
For different flavor profiles, you can replace the sugar with honey or maple syrup, add a splash of bourbon, or include spices like cinnamon, cayenne pepper, or salt.
