The Simple Trick You Should Be Using To Make Whipped Cream
By Crystal Antonace
Standard homemade whipped cream is made with just heavy whipping cream and sweeteners, making it convenient to make at home. There's one unique low-mess technique you may want to try the next time you make your own whipped cream.
All you need to make fresh whipped cream is a jar with a tight-fitting lid and a whisk or hand mixer. Fill the jar a fourth of the way, seal it, and shake it vigorously for up to three minutes — you can even make butter if you leave out the sugar and keep shaking.
If you don’t have a jar, you can use a stand mixer on a lower speed setting — if you use only confectioners' sugar. For a stiffer whipped cream that can hold its shape and last up to two weeks, use a food processor.
