The Short-Lived Menu Collab Between Waffle House And
Chick-Fil-A
By Brianna Corley
It may seem impossible for two giant fast-food chains to collaborate, but Waffle House and Chick-fil-A were able to back in the 1960s. The two Georgia-based fast-food joints committed to a short-lived collaboration which delighted fans.
Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy had just debuted his fried chicken sandwich and began authorizing other restaurants to sell the sandwich to bring in more sales, including Waffle House in 1964. This partnership worked well until customers were supposedly asking for the iconic Chick-fil-A creation instead of Waffle House's in-house menu, and eventually, the deal ended.
The partnership may have ended decades ago, but today’s foodies still want a team up, as shown in viral Tiktok videos. Fast food lovers get a classic waffle at the Waffle House before heading straight to Chick-fil-A for some crispy chicken strips, then combine the two and drizzle the meal in maple syrup — a perfect chicken and waffles mash-up.
