The Sam's Club Bulk Wine That You Should Really Think Twice About
By Stacie Adams
When you're a member of Sam's Club, you can conveniently add to your wine collection while you bulk shop for other groceries. Sam's Club features its private label, Member's Mark, which includes an assortment of wine, but there are some things to consider before purchasing these wines in bulk.
Sam's Club features the Member's Mark Red Wines Assorted pack, and for $92.76, shoppers will receive 12 bottles of wine, including malbec, zinfandel, pinot noir, and cabernet sauvignon in sets of three. On the surface, the assortment offers a great bargain, but you may only love some of the Member's Mark reds, which can leave you with unwanted bottles hanging around.
The malbec and zinfandel were taste-tested, and there were conflicting reviews. While some thought the malbec was "highly drinkable," others thought it was "bitter," and the zinfandel was criticized for having an empty body, while some thought it to be more expensive than it is — illustrating why it's usually better to buy one bottle at a time.
