The Incredibly High Number Of Biscuits Cracker Barrel Makes Per Day
By Haldan Kirsch
Since Cracker Barrel opened in 1969, buttermilk biscuits have been a staple on its menu. The restaurant claims customers love their biscuits, and it's got the numbers to prove it.
Cracker Barrel says it serves more than 210 million biscuits annually. That means 661 restaurants throughout the country make a combined 825,000 biscuits daily.
When Dan Evans opened his first Cracker Barrel, he knew good biscuits were essential to the Southern country spirit. He made sure they were always handmade and freshly baked.
Today, Cracker Barrel's online store sells a pre-made mix to bake homemade biscuits. The mix also doubles as the recipe for their famous dumplings.
