The Ideal Way To Reheat Meatloaf Without Drying It Out
By Brandon Bombay
One of the best things about making delicious meatloaf is that there will be leftovers, but it's essential to reheat meatloaf properly to avoid drying it out.
Whether you remove it from the fridge or freezer, the meatloaf should be left out to come to room temperature and help ensure a more even heat throughout the loaf.
Preheat the oven to 250 F, place the loaf in a baking tray, and add one or two teaspoons of water or broth. Cover the tray with aluminum foil and bake it for 25-30 minutes.
Remove the foil from the top of the loaf for the last few minutes in the oven to crisp the top, and add more ketchup or glaze. You can also use a wire rack for a crispier result.
Reheating the meatloaf in the oven heats it evenly, but this method is best used for large loaves of leftovers.
The microwave can conveniently reheat a small serving. Place the meatloaf on a microwave-safe dish, cover it with a damp paper towel, and heat it for roughly one minute per slice.
