From bagels to muffins and much more, Costco is an excellent place to go if you prefer to buy your baked goods in bulk. However, as time-saving and effective as it is to purchase baked goods in large quantities, you can risk your items going stale before you can enjoy them — unless you try this one food-saving hack.
To prevent your newly purchased items from going stale, wrap your baked goods individually with plastic wrap, and store any items you won't use relatively soon in the freezer. Not only will this trick preserve your baked goods' freshness, but it will also significantly cut down on food waste.
Bagels that are wrapped and frozen will stay fresh for up to four months, and cutting them in half beforehand will aid greatly in splitting them apart once removed. When it comes to thawing any of your baked goods, a microwave or air fryer is a great option, or you can let them thaw overnight to enjoy when you wake up in the morning.
