The Dave's Killer Bread Copycat You Can Find
At Aldi
By Elizabeth Pak
Dave's Killer Bread has been praised for being a nutritious option, but like most healthy loaves on the market, it comes at a cost — $8 per loaf. Eating healthy doesn't have to be expensive though, thanks to wonderful knock-off brands, like one similar to Dave's Killer Bread at a fraction of the cost, available at Aldi.
Aldi offers Simply Nature Seedtastic and Graintastic breads, which have been gaining attention for their similar taste and texture to Dave's Killer Bread. According to the Kitchn, not only are the ingredients similar between Dave's Killer Bread and Simply Nature's Seedtastic and Graintastic breads, but their taste-tester also couldn't tell the difference between them.
The major difference is that a loaf of Aldi's version costs you $4.35, whereas Dave's is roughly double the price. Just as with Dave’s, this hearty bread is perfect for various meals, such as a crispy BLT sandwich, golden French toast, or just a side of toast to go with scrambled eggs.
