There's a lot that has changed about Cracker Barrel in half a century, including one small but important change: the chain no longer serves its drinks in frosted mugs.

These mugs kept beverages frosty throughout the meal, which removed the need for ice. They gave diners more liquid per beverage while eliminating any dilution from melting.

To the dismay of many customers, all the frozen mugs were gone from Cracker Barrel locations by 2018. Cracker Barrel never made a statement on why they decided to make the cut.

Despite many comments from unhappy customers, Cracker Barrel has been silent on the subject and it is unlikely that the frosted mugs will return.
