The Costco Rotisserie Chicken Tip For Getting Only The Meat You Desire
By Betsy Parks
Costco offers rotisserie chicken to members for $4.99, but if a whole bird is too much for you, simply ask a deli employee to cut a chicken in half or quarters.
The key is to ask for help when things aren't too busy. It can be a bit of a frenzy when the ring of a deli bell signals a new batch of chicken is ready, especially on weekends.
If you're hoping to get your chicken chopped in half or quarters, you'll have a better chance of getting the deli's attention if you shop on a weekday when there are fewer people.
Shopping at Costco on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday between 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. will make it easier to navigate the aisles and get a little special attention from the staff.
The good news is that even though the chickens are in high demand, they're also always available. In fact, company policy requires that the chickens be replenished every two hours.
Reddit users claiming to be Costco butchers have said they can't make any custom cuts, but others say they're happy to accommodate special requests as long as it's not too busy.
