The Baskin-Robbins Flavor Created Specifically For The Beatles
By Carly Weaver
Baskin-Robbins is known for continually introducing new ice cream flavors to their ever-growing library. Some are invented to mark big events worth celebrating, such as a pop culture moment that the ice cream shop had no choice but to "Come Together" to commemorate: Beatlemania.
Beatle Nut, the Beatles-themed flavor, was dreamed up when a reporter asked co-founder, Irv Robbins, if there'd be a new ice cream flavor to celebrate the Beatles' first tour in the U.S. On the spot, Beatle Nut was imagined, and in just five short days, the ice cream company was able to innovate, make, and distribute the new flavor.
The Beatles-inspired nutty goodness was invented just in time to to honor America's new favorite band. According to a tweet from Decades Network, Beatle Nut was made up of pistachio and walnut with the company's signature chocolate ribbon, in what sounds like a Baskin-Robbins flavor everyone could go nuts for.
