Storing Cool Ranch Doritos In The Freezer Is A Game Changer
By Chase Shustack
Whether eating Nacho Cheese or getting Cool Ranch dust on the couch, you likely enjoy Doritos only one way — straight out of the bag. However, if you want a new spin on Doritos, try them straight out of the freezer.
It is an unconventional pairing, but many have vouched that putting a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos in the fridge adds to the snacking experience. According to chef PJ Calapa, cold Cool Ranch Doritos stay crunchier than un-chilled Doritos and have a delightfully cool texture that only adds a sharper crunch.
Others attest to this, such as one Reddit user who said, "Stick your favorite bag of Doritos in the freezer for a while, then eat them. The coldness of the chip enhances its flavor."  While some say it's the texture, and others say it's the cold sensation mixed with the spice of the chip, whichever way you look at it, something about cold Doritos works.
