Rid Your Tupperware Of Stains With A Simple Baking Soda Paste Hack
By Kristen Garaffo
Tupperware may be susceptible to odors and stains over time, so if warm, soapy water isn't getting tough stains out of your plastic lids and containers, bust out the baking soda.
Simply make a paste with baking soda and water and spread it throughout the container and lid. Leave it for a couple of hours to work its magic, then rinse it away.
Baking soda is alkaline, so it neutralizes and weakens greasy, oily food stains, which tend to be acidic. This makes it easier to clean and deodorize your plastic containers.
A simple way to prevent stains in the first place is to coat the inside of the container with cooking spray or cover it with foil or plastic wrap before filling it with food.
