Please Check Your Air Fryer, Because 2 Million Were Just Recalled

There is no doubt that air fryers are incredibly useful kitchen tools, but it’s important to remember that they’re still appliances that should be treated with safety in mind. On February 24, 2023, Cosori voluntarily recalled over 2 million air fryers after an uptick in fires, injuries, and other incidents surrounding these devices.
Cosori’s air fryer recall is underway in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and as of February 28, 2023, roughly 21 different models are included. The defect involves the closed-end crimp connectors (which establish electrical connections between wires) overheating and catching fire, although Cosori says that this is under "extremely rare circumstances."
If you’re worried your Cosori air fryer may be a victim of this recall, check the serial number on the bottom of the device and compare it to the serial numbers of the recalled models, which Cosori has on their website. If there’s a match, Cosori recommends sending the product back and receiving a replacement model for free.
