Milk Steak From It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia Is Actually A Real Food
By Stacie Adams
Iconic television shows often have memorable food moments, including this moment on "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." While on a date, a nervous Charlie Kelly, the self-proclaimed wildcard among the gang's cast of problematic characters, orders himself a "Milk steak boiled over hard, with a side of your finest jellybeans, raw."
While the dish was created solely by the show’s creators, ardent Sunny fans have since brought it to life and shared their favorite recipes to TikTok. To make your own milk steak, choose a cut that boils well (like chuck or flank steak), place it in a hot pan, pour ½ cup of milk over the top, and set the stove to medium heat before pouring in the other half.
Once all your milk is in the pan, you'll want to cook it for about an hour to achieve the perfect texture. As for the jellybeans, Charlie clearly specifies that they should be raw, but if you're looking to impress, you can try deep-frying them, for which you'll need a deep-fryer and funnel cake batter.
