Martha Stewart Educated TikTok On The Easiest Way To Eat Lobster Tail
By Margaret McCormick
Celebrity chef Martha Stewart has called Skylands, her woodsy, off-the-beaten-path summer retreat on Mount Desert Island in Maine, "my favorite place.” While she’s there, she enjoys relaxing, gardening, and eating plenty of seafood — and in Maine, there is no seafood like their famous sweet lobster.
Recently, Stewart shared a hack for getting every last bit out of a lobster tail, in a TikTok video titled “My Lobster Trick.” Wielding a lobster tail, she picks up a fork and instructs viewers to turn it upside down and insert it as far down as possible beneath the lobster shell, which makes the lobster meat loose and easy to pull out of the shell.
Some people are intimidated by eating lobster, but lobster tails are extra meaty and don’t require much work, so they’re less intimidating. Additionally, lobsters work their tails as they scoot around in the water, which results in more fibrous meat than the tender meat of lobster claws.
