It's About Time You Add Scrambled Eggs To Your Grilled Cheese
By Riya Anne Polcastro
If you want to take your grilled cheese sandwich to another level, add scrambled eggs to create a soft, pillowy texture and savory flavor.
The creaminess of the eggs will also complement the cheese perfectly, creating a delicate layer of protein to offset the sharper flavor of the cheese.
When making a grilled cheese sandwich with scrambled eggs, be sure to include cheese on the top and the bottom so it melts to both slices of bread.
This will envelop the eggs in a warm, gooey embrace and act as a cheesy glue, holding the scrambled eggs in place and keeping the sandwich from falling apart.
Grill the sandwich until it's golden brown. It also can be a good idea for the eggs to be a little watery when you assemble the sandwich so they don't get overcooked.
Just a single egg is enough to transform the texture and taste of your grilled cheese sandwich, but feel free to double up if you want it extra eggy.
