Is A No-Bake Banana Bread Actually Possible?
By Carolyn Jenkins
While technically oven-free, no-bake desserts often involve some form of heat application, whether you're cooking ingredients on the stove or melting butter in the microwave
Banana bread is easily adaptable to a no-bake version due to its simple nature, lacking the need for yeast or kneading. This method is oven-less but requires a stove.
Start by preheating a wide pan or stock pot on the stove. Once heated, place a wire wrack in the center and your loaf pan filled with banana bread batter on top.
Cover the pot with the lid, and in about 45 minutes, you'll have a no-bake banana bread. No-bake banana bread offers a convenient alternative for those without access to an oven.
This hack significantly reduces the traditional baking time of over an hour. While this method saves you time, the banana bread results vary compared to the oven-baked version.
No-bake banana bread is far less browned than oven-baked banana bread. When determining which method to use, it comes down to taste.
