If You Want Pigs In A Blanket For Breakfast, Consider A Simple Ingredient Switch
By Laura Zbinden
If you simply can't get enough of pigs in a blanket and want to include them in your breakfast, all you need to do is swap out the mini sausages with sausage links.
To keep the pigs in a blanket around the same size, you may have to cut the sausage links in half or thirds, depending on how long they are.
Once the links are ready, simply open a can of crescent roll dough and wrap each sausage up in half a triangle of raw pastry.
Consider coating the dough in egg wash and everything bagel seasoning or brushing the pastry dough with a light coating of maple syrup before rolling up the sausages.
Bake your breakfast pigs in a blanket for about 15 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit. You can also dip them in maple syrup, hot honey, white sausage gravy, or cheese.
