In-N-Out's not-so-secret "secret menu" contains the beloved animal style fries, which include a slice of melted cheese, the chain's famous secret sauce, and grilled onions.
This McDonald's hack can get you close to the real thing — simply order fries with a side of Big Mac Sauce, ask for a slice of cheese, and let it melt on the fries.
The McDonald's employee may or may not oblige on the cheese, but it's worth a shot. It's also worth noting that grilled onions are even more likely to be a no-go.
McDonald's says the Big Mac Sauce is "creamy, zesty, and savory," while In-N-Out's secret sauce has ketchup, making it a little sweeter and tangier than the spread on your Big Mac.
