How To Eat The Adorable Superfood Cucamelon

Cucamelon, the hybrid superfood that's a cross between a watermelon and a cucumber, can be eaten whole on its own, but you can enhance your experience by zhuzhing it up a bit.
You can add the grape-size fruit — which goes great with greens and summer fruit, like sliced plums or cherry tomatoes — to your salad for a tangy pop of brightness.
While at it, try getting the whole family together by also adding cucumber and watermelon to the mix. Since cucamelons are so small, you don't even have to slice them.
If you want to snack on them long after summer ends, you can try pickling them using turmeric and chili powder spice, as demonstrated by food blogger Cooking with Thas.
You can also chop them up and add them to your salsa, dip them in hummus or baba ganoush, or slice them in half and give them a quick toss in a pan with stir-fried veggies.
