How McDonald's Was Able To Manage Selling A Lobster Roll

Over the years, McDonald's has introduced many different regional menu items, but it might come as a surprise that the chain sold lobster rolls on and off for several years.
Instead of being made with lobster tails like a traditional roll, McDonald's used cheaper meat from the claws, knuckles, and legs and bought it in volume for an affordable price.
Customers with less refined palates may not have noticed too much of a difference, but some picked up on the extra fishiness and reported the texture as more mushy than meaty.
