In December 2013, Phil Robertson shared his controversial beliefs on homosexuality, causing immediate backlash. This caused Cracker Barrel to announce that they would be pulling "selected [Duck Commander] products which we were concerned might offend some of our guests while we evaluate the situation."

As soon as they decided to remove certain Duck Commander products, Cracker Barrel received backlash from fans, causing them to reverse their decision only a day later.
