How Do You Use Trader Joe's Ketchup Seasoning?
By Lauren Wood
Ketchup has been an American standard and favorite since it was first introduced to the States in 1812, per History.com. A powdered version of this condiment can seem intimidating, but Trader Joe's has tried their hand at the subject, and ketchup lovers should rejoice.
Popcorn, potato chips, french fries, and many other salty finger foods can benefit from TJ's ketchup seasoning, as well as more complex meals, such as mac and cheese. Dumping it on a hot dog or burger is not recommended, though — sometimes, liquified ketchup just needs to do its thing.
Though powdered ketchup may seem revolutionary, it's been around for a while and, according to the Canadian Food Network, ketchup chips have been Canada’s national favorite since the 1970s. Luckily, with the introduction of the Trader Joe's blend, these chips can now be similarly replicated and enjoyed in the States.
