How Blonde Chocolate Is Different From White Chocolate
By Kelly Douglas
Blonde and white chocolate may look similar, but while blonde chocolate is full of nutty, caramelized notes, white chocolate is simply sweet.
The two are so similar because blonde chocolate is just white chocolate that's been caramelized, giving it a toasty, butterscotch flavor.
White chocolate is also ivory-colored with occasional tints of yellow, while blonde chocolate is a richer golden color, often bordering on bronze.
While white chocolate has been around since the 1930s, blonde chocolate was created in 2004, and its complex flavors can make it the perfect alternative to regular white chocolate.
