If you're looking for a quick and simple way to upgrade your next batch of cupcakes without using your mixer or measuring cups to make frosting, look no further than marshmallows.
Fill each compartment of your cupcake tin halfway since the batter will rise during baking. If they're over-filled and dome at the top, adding marshmallows will be challenging.
Once the cupcakes have finished baking, let them rest on a cooling rack. Place a marshmallow on top of each cupcake, flat side down, and broil for a few seconds so they don't burn.
When the marshmallow tops have been evenly roasted, slowly remove the baking pan from the oven and use a spoon or spatula to flatten those pillowy, roasted treats.
