Gordon Ramsay's Tip To Get Perfectly Moist Slices Of Steak
By Sarah Richter
One of Gordon Ramsay's most important pointers for getting juicy steaks at home has less to do with cooking and more to do with the step just before serving — slicing the steak.
The celebrity chef’s cardinal rule is to never slice a steak too thin. He says that "to maximize the flavor and to keep it moist, keep it at least half a centimeter thick."
Keeping the cooked meat thicker lets the moisture continue to flow throughout the meat instead of having it dry out as you're eating the rest of the meal.
Ramsay also suggests sharing your steak with someone, but now that you have the slicing tip to the ideal juicy steak, you might just want to keep the whole thing to yourself.
