Gordon Ramsay's Secret To Mouthwatering Homemade Chocolate Donuts
By Cynthia Anaya
Gordon Ramsay shared a recipe for mouthwatering chocolate ganache donuts on "100 Recipes To Stake Your Life On," a double-episode feature from his YouTube series, "Ultimate Cookery Course." He used one ingredient that is both surprising, and satisfyingly sweet and nutty in taste.
After removing the donuts from the oil, Ramsay sprinkles them with an equal mix of sugar and malt powder before filling them with the chocolate ganache. If you're a beer drinker, you probably already know that malt is a critical part of the beer brewing process, and it's also one of the main ingredients in WHOPPERS Malted Milk Balls.
Malt has a sweet and nutty taste with notes of caramel and coffee, which complements sweet treats such as brownies, pancakes, and milkshakes, so it’s a great addition to donuts. In addition, malt contains antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, and essential amino acids, and it can aid in athletic recovery, boost happiness, and support digestive health.
