Gordon Ramsay Has A 'Face Method' To Check The Doneness Of Steak
By Stacie Adams
Renowned chef Gordon Ramsay has an odd but effective method that uses the firmness of different parts of your face to determine your steak's level of doneness.
A rare steak should match the firmness of your cheeks, medium doneness should be similar to your chin's firmness, and well-done meat is less-yielding, like your forehead.
While you can determine how cooked a steak is by measuring its internal temperature with a meat thermometer, Ramsay's method is a great alternative if you don't have the tool.
