Eggnog French Toast Is The Snug Christmas Breakfast Of Your Dreams
By Ciara McLaren
As most eggnog contains heavy cream, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg, swapping plain milk for eggnog produces a custardy, spiced French toast that tastes like Christmas.
To make French toast à la eggnog, you can simply soak the bread in eggnog, but consider adding extra eggs since eggnog tends to be milkier than French toast liquid.
If you don't have eggnog on hand, make French toast as you normally would, but add warm winter spices like nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves (and an optional splash of booze).
Pour the liquid over the bread arranged in a baking dish. In the morning, it will be soft, soaked, and ready to fry or bake into an eggnog French toast casserole.
