Don't Make Carbonara Unless You Have This Type Of Pasta
By Julia Mullaney
Carbonara is an easy-to-make pasta dish and can be made with ingredients you already have in your pantry, but when it comes to the pasta you pick, it must be bucatini.
The small hole in a bucatini pasta means the sauce has plenty of places to stick — not just on the outside of the pasta but also on the inside, making for an extra saturated bite.
While carbonara is traditionally paired with a thinner pasta, such as spaghetti, it's time to break barriers and give bucatini its chance in the carbonara spotlight.
