Does Olive Garden Just Throw Out Its Uneaten Food Every Day?
By C.A. Pinkham
If you've ever wondered what Olive Garden does with all its uneaten food, you'll be pleased to know that the popular restaurant chain doesn't let its delicious meals go to waste.
Darden Restaurants, the parent company of Olive Garden, has partnered with a non-profit organization called Feeding America to ensure their unused food goes to local food banks.
In addition to partnering with Feeding America for over a decade, Darden has had its own Harvest food donation program since 2003, giving unserved food to local non-profits.
Even though donating food might seem like it would incur extra costs for a restaurant chain like Olive Garden, it still does its best to donate food whenever possible.
