Crispy Egg Yolks Are Here To Upgrade The Texture Of Your Next Breakfast

When cooking eggs, it is easy to mess up their delicate texture, but this TikTok user demonstrates how to elevate your breakfast with crispy egg yolks.
Start by separating the egg yolks, then coat them with panko breadcrumbs and season them. Stick the yolks in the fridge for 15 to 20 minutes so they can set.
Preheat some oil in a pan, then add the yolk and fry until golden before taking it to a paper towel-lined plate for a result that's crunchy on the outside but runny when cut into.
The user added that you should only fry the yolks for 15 to 20 seconds to avoid overcooking them. The oil must be hot enough to turn the panko golden in this timeframe.
This crispy egg can technically be made in the air fryer in a pinch, but the TikToker noted, "it isn't as golden/crispy as fried."
There are plenty of ways to serve this unique breakfast dish, including adding it to avocado toast or combining it with open-faced breakfast sandwiches.
