Costco's Jarred Artichokes Are Packing A Bonus Secret Ingredient
By David Tran
While many Costco shoppers rave about their Kirkland Signature jarred artichoke hearts, they don’t know that they contain a bonus ingredient: the oil, which makes a great dressing.
The oil is seasoned with garlic and spices, giving it an herby, vinegar flavor. Delicious on its own, you can mix it with other ingredients to make a delicious dressing.
The Kitchn suggests making pasta salad with the artichokes and their oil. Drizzling the oil on your pasta can elevate it, and adding some lemon juice can provide a flavor boost.
Simply combine your artichoke hearts, pasta, cherry tomatoes, veggies, black olives, and your artichoke marinade to wind up with a flavorful pasta salad.
Marinated artichoke hearts are also good on pizza, Italian sandwiches, or traditional green salads as toppings. You can even eat them straight out of the jar.
