An Air Fryer Is All You Need To Transform Frozen Corn In A Pinch
By Laura Zbinden
Whether you freeze it yourself or buy it prebagged, frozen corn is best prepared in the air fryer since you don't have to thaw it beforehand, and it won't turn out mushy.
You'll want to preheat the air fryer to between 400 and 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Dousing the frozen kernels with cool water in a sieve will help to melt any residual frost.
Be sure that the kernels are separated and not stuck together in clumps. You can then pat them dry with a paper towel, dump them into the air fryer, and let it do its thing.
Give everything a stir before cooking it for a second round to let the corn get nice and brown like it would if you cooked it on the stovetop or grill (but with way less work).
You can then remove the corn and season it however you like. The traditional garlic, butter, and salt combo is great, or you can mix things up with other herbs and spices.
You can even cook frozen corn on the cob in the air fryer. Simply preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping the corn halfway.
