Aldi's Vienna Beef Hot Dogs Lead The Taste Of Chicago To Every Home
By Alexander Billet
Vienna Beef boasts of being "Chicago's Hot Dog Since 1893," but you don't need to go to the Windy City to get a Chicago-style hot dog, as the franks are sold at your local Aldi's.
One Aldi-centric Instagram account shows a package of the retailer's Parkview Chicago Style Beef Franks with the Vienna Beef logo adorning the lower right-hand corner.
The partnership between Parkview and Vienna Beef has been going strong for quite some time, but none of the Parkview franks listed on the Aldi website have the Vienna Beef logo.
These Chicago-style franks could only be available seasonally or in limited quantities. In 2011, Vienna Beef announced, "VB is available in Aldi stores May – September nationwide!"
In 2021, someone on Instagram questioned the Aldi and Parkland relationship. "Check the label," the Chicago-based company shot back in a comment, "they are Vienna Beef!"
