Aldi's Frozen Sausage Is Ideal For McDonald's-Style Breakfast Sandwiches
By Laura Zbinden
You can make a McDonald's-style egg and sausage McMuffin at home with Aldi's pre-cooked sausage patties, which can be found in the store's frozen section.
A bag of 18 pre-cooked patties costs less than $10 and is sold in two flavors — original and maple. Aldi Reviewer marked them as a must-buy.
Start by cutting an English muffin in half and toasting it for a few minutes. At the same time, heat a nonstick skillet on the stovetop with a drizzle of your favorite cooking oil.
Set a greased circular mold, or the lid ring of a glass jar, in the pan. Crack in an egg, break the yolk with a fork, cover it with a lid, and cook until the whites are solid.
Heat your sausage patty in the pan until it's warm, and assemble your fried egg, sausage patty, and a slice of American cheese between the two English muffins.
