13 Of The Unhealthiest Things You Can Order At Texas Roadhouse
By Sarah Klein
Most of Texas Roadhouse’s dishes bend toward indulgence and should be avoided by those with dietary concerns (or eaten in moderation), such as the kid’s meal mini-cheeseburgers. They contain 670 calories, 36 grams of fat, including 15 grams of saturated fat, and nearly 1000 milligrams of sodium, which is a whopper of a meal for any child.

Beyond the booze in Texas Roadhouse margaritas, there’s also an extra strong dose of sugar, so they’re probably best for sharing. The 18-ounce frozen Hurricane Margarita has 66 grams of sugar, while the other frozen 18-ounce margaritas only get higher in sugar content with mango, raspberry, and strawberry at the top of the heap.
2. Margaritas
Despite being a salad, this dish tops the charts at 1,340 calories and contains 103 grams of fat and 2,870 milligrams of sodium. Unfortunately, this salad has more steak, cheese, and dressing than veggies, so those seeking healthier salads should order grilled salmon or chicken and perhaps request dressing on the side so they can decide how much they want.
3. Steakhouse Filet Salad
These should either be avoided entirely or shared with a party, as they are packed in fat, carbohydrates, sodium, and calories. This is due to their potato base that is generously topped with cheese and bacon and served with sour cream, which those who are lactose intolerant should think twice about having.
4. Tater Skins
Chicken wings do offer protein, which is what keeps them from being the unhealthiest item on the menu, but the Buffalo wings contribute some other adverse effects. Beyond being deep-fried (and thus high in fat and cholesterol), they can give customers heartburn, acid reflux, and stomachaches.
