Tips

  • try the Pig'Nics!
  • Truffle Temor biatch!
  • Everything here is delicious. Trust Chris and Erin to steer you right.
  • Get Broadbent Country Hamdelish and super-duper-cheap! My recipe: fry a few slices in oil on high heat, add dried hot chilies, then chopped white cabbage (the waxy kind). Cook till soft-ish. Mm!
  • Our constant savior.
  • It's all about the nibs box in the refrigerated section up front. Cheese, bacon, sausage, prosciutto ends for only $2-$6! Great way to try lots of different things, not to mention picnic-friendly.
  • Daily sandwich menu is a must! Sandwich, bag of chips, iced coffee, done!!
  • Wow, first place in cobble hill with Tin Mustard! Nothing like it in the city.
  • This shop has more than just an endearing name, it also has some of the finest cheese & dried meat selections in Brooklyn. We suggest our Lavash to go along with your next cheese purchase!
  • Get some Casatica di bufala. It's a super-creamy cheese made from buffalo's milk.
  • Not as large of a selection as Murrays, but still a wonderful shop with a good assortment of cheeses, charcuterie, bread, jams. The staff is also really nice and helpful.
  • Really strong charcuterie, great hot sauce selection as well
  • Cheese and sandwich shop!
  • Love the deals on the "loose ends" near the front. Especially helpful for someone who wants to try out new cheese.
  • Amazing collection of meats, cheeses, and specialty goods. Their bread is cheap and delicious.
  • Excellent craft beer selection and lots of other random little knick knacks you didn't know you needed.
  • Thursdays, from 5 to 8, they have a happy hour where you get 20% off filling up a growler of beer.
  • They followed us around the store and then accused my friend of stealing a Mast Brothers Chocolate bar. When she showed them her bag, the item was a pack of tissues. I emailed but never heard back.
  • Incredible cheese. Hard goat and Gouda are my faves. Good sandwiches and great place to fill your growler
  • Lots of cocktail bitters!
