Tips

  • Solar express is a big hit. Highly recommend for the under 6 set!
  • With four main galleries, a toddlers-only gallery and more than 100 hands-on activities, Stepping Stones offers children ages ten and under plenty to explore and discover.
  • Not a stroller friendly place, odd for a "kid" friendly place. Bring a strong arm so you can carry your 3 month old while your 4 year old plays. Lucky for me the aquarium IS stroller friendly.
  • The museum stays open late ('till eight!) every first Thursday of the month - free admission too!
  • I love it. I used to work there
  • Free admission for active duty military and families to Labor Day
  • Overpriced overcrowded and stressful for kids under 2
  • Get here early to avoid the crowds. Hang out in the toy store for an extra 20 minutes of entertainment.
  • An excellent childrens museum. So many fun things to run around and do. I have a 2 and 3 year old and the LOVE it there. Water play, construction site, building blocks, light wall, crafts. The best!
  • Great to be a member and keep coming back and not have pressure to see whole museum at once can just do one part or one hour each visit in a relaxed way.
  • the water room is the most fun thing to do in Fairfield County.
  • Nice mix of museum and playground. Ideal for kids aged 3-8. My daughter loved the interactive water area as well as the 'building site'. You can easily spend a day here.
  • Great for family fun.
  • Get a family membership and go early on Saturdays during Members-only hour.
  • Fun Toddler Town.
  • I love the tots room
  • There's a second coat room and bathrooms on the other side of the building. When only one entrance is open, make your way to them for space & sanity.
  • Check out the Dinosaur exhibit and then come build a massive one with your friends and norwalk 2.0 this Saturday at POP City, just steps away.
  • Put on the construction gear (hat, best, belt, tools, ect...) and start building something at the Build It exhibit....make sure to bring your permit!
  • This is a great place to come to for kids to have fun in a museum
