Foursquare Tips

  • Proper Victorian era pub, the snug behind the end of the bar (to the left as you're looking at it) is one of the best in the city.
  • epic. everything rules here.
  • "The Comedy Crunch", free comedy night Sundays and Mondays. Great craic.
  • Great staff and snug and trad downstairs on the weekends
  • Jaysus the acoustics are quare bad upstairs!
  • Try the guinnes pay or the beef burger, thats amazing!!!!
  • Plenty of bar space, great selection of drinks- recommend O'haras Pale Ale
  • The Dame District Christmas Market is on this week. Stags Head have Mulled wine, Hot Apple Punch and Hot Whiskeys and Hot Port to keep you warm. On the street Live Music every day.

  • Great pub, love the quasi speak easy entrance from Dame Street, awesome old school decor, classic bartenders and fresh properly poured Guinness
  • An architectural gem, but not a museum piece. Great pints and craic. The snug is wonderful. Fav time of year is Christmas and the Stag getting a red nose.
  • Great pub to pop into during the day or for an evening pint. Can get very busy and packed in the weekend. There is an upstairs also but it can be hard to get a drink here. Well worth a visit though.

  • The decoration is great, with the stags head in pride of place. This place does get busy as its very popular.
  • Check out the Brown Bread Mixtape upstairs the last Wednesday of every month. Doors at 8 ! A fiver in with a drink for one of the best nights in Dublin
