  • In the film "High Fidelity" (2000), Rob's ex-girlfriend Laura (Iben Hjejle) meets up with Rob's sister Liz (Joan Cusack) to have a serious chat in scenes filmed in this Smith & Wollensky Steakhouse.
  • Their steaks are EVERYTHING!
  • The bone-in rib steak and Kansas City sirloin pack in loads flavor, but you wont go wrong with an Australian lobster tail or grilled swordfish. The fantastic shrimp cocktail is worth the $17 splurge.
  • Just because this is a steakhouse doesn't mean you shouldn't eat their burger. You should eat their burger.
  • Overpriced and undergood, but outdoor on the patio rocks in the summer
  • Ribeye is awesome!
  • if you order the Sirloin, ask for medium-rare, extra char.....with roasted garlic and cippolini won't be sorry!
  • A nice night of outdoor dining on the Chicago River cannot be beat!

  • Truffled mac 'n' cheese and pretzel bread are so good here! Sit downstairs for a lovely view of the river!
  • What a great people watching spot. Truly a landmark along the river in Chicago.

  • Go downstairs to the grill. You can get a baseball cut steak which is awesome. Fantastic river view as well.
