Tips

  • Great coffee, cute hipster staff & always a celebrity sighting. The granola is special. I sit by the window. Keep my table open. - Marc Sinoway, Hunting Season
  • One of the most amazing spaces in NY: The original kitchen of an early-19th-c Bond St mansion, lovingly restored. Check out the two massive, original cooking hearths on the E wall near the rear.
  • Try the harissa honey-roasted chicken sandwich. It comes with sweet roasted peppers, melted manchego, and preserved-lemon mayo, and is one of our 101 Best Sandwiches in NY.
  • Don't be intimidated by GQ magazine's labeling of The Smile as "The White-Hot Center of New York Cool." This basement cafe is welcoming and casual. Try the roast-beef sandwich ($11.50).
  • In the mood for something lighter? Try the open faced sandwich with delicious Russ and daughters smoked salmon.
  • For brunch, get the sweet potato biscuits to share. Then order the baked eggs in tomato sauce with avocado and manchego cheese. So good!
  • Brunch destination for models & actors makes for a sexy crowd. Exposed brick and simple menu. All on an iconic NYC street. Solid spot.
  • Cozy intimate charming walk down restaurant with a great selection of healthy delicious fare. The Roasted Balsamic Chicken was amazing. I actually had two to satiate my appetite after SoulCycle NoHo.
  • Comfy neighborhood cafe by morning, quick lunch spot by afternoon, scene-y hangout at night. Fresh, well-cooked food that's healthier (and tastier) than many surrounding options.
  • The harissa honey-roasted chicken sandwich may be my favorite sandwich in all of New York. I could eat that every day.
  • Delicious cute and quaint. Great for a reasonable lunch spot and some possible celeb sitings (so I hear).
  • Best steak & egg.
  • Say hi to Mary-Kate for me.
  • These guys conceived the brilliant idea of adding coconut milk to their steel-cut oatmeal -- delicious!
  • The atmosphere was lovely. Everything on the menu looked pretty unique. I got the steak and roasted grape arugula salad. It was sweet, savory and just all around delicious. A fantastic date location.
  • I would start a religion around the maple thyme bacon.
  • Best orange juice I've ever had... The French toast with strawberries is amazing
  • The best decor and atmosphere. Great for brunch with very reasonable prices.
  • Had the thai Beef salad, fresh, spiced perfectly & very friendly efficent service
  • "California brunch"
