Foursquare Tips

  • Get in early. Closes at 5:15pm. Has 4 floors and each one is amazing. 30RMB per adult. Queue is never longer than 10 min of waiting time. Well worth it. Inside you have restaurants etc.
  • The best nature museum in China
  • It's nice that they kept the creepy looking lion from the old museum but other than that it is a first-class museum. I would bring my kid.
  • Honestly was dissappointing.... incredibly crowded and not up to par with other museums of its kind. also the taxidermy was laughably bad
  • The display is very good.
  • niceIShanghai
  • Closed on Mondays. Entrance ticket is 30RMB
  • Try to reach early to avoid the crowds. Make the most of being alone in the Audio Visual Exhibitions.
  • Definitely would pay 2nd visit if there is way less crowds(kids). Not anyone's fault but they only limit the visitors as over 5700 - while with 2473 ppl under the same roof today it's tough already.

  • Great museum! We had a nice time. Food available, children below 1.4m free. Probable could spend a day here.
  • Cute cafe in the museum that's just as overcrowded as the museum itself. Some of the worst taxidermy I've ever seen in person: Internet worthy. All descriptions in English are poorly written.
  • Brand new museum... So awesome
  • Just opened after 9 years of work. 11,000 specimens on display.
  • What a beautiful building. I can't wait for the Grand Opening. Hopefully, the exhibits will impress too!
