  • Excellent bar cat with a legal collar.
  • Strong case for being the oldest pub in London - may well be predominantly the original building dating back to 1602.
  • Went to check out Seven Stars for the cat. Sadly, Tom passed away in 2012. There is however still beer.
  • Has a pub cat!
  • full of amusing, drunken legal types and the accoutrements of jurisprudence. some unusual ales and tales.
  • Great range of cask ale, good food, and good atmosphere. And, yes -- I met a cat in here in April 2015.
  • The antidote to every bland soulless chain pub in London. Tiny but crammed with character
  • Have a great time chatting with someone that pop in there. Great traditional pub. Men: take a look at the listed bathroom (yeah, just the men one, sorry! =] )
  • Lovely cat dressed like a lawyer!
  • The food here is consistently awesome! Great pub for lunch.
  • Be careful heading back from the toilets, uber steep stairs!
  • I think it's the oldest pub in London but I can say it's nothing special
  • Say hi to Tom :)
  • Expensive and bad food. Focus on beers.
  • Traditional pub, cozy interior and nice street for drinking on in the summer. Not much restaurant space but the food looked good.
  • Datato al 1602, questa "perla" uno dei pub pi antichi di Londra..Piccolo, frequentato dagli avvocati delle Royal Courts of Justice, serve birre tradizionali, spuntini ma anche piatti di pesce.
  • Food was ok-ish for pub's standards. Uncomfortable seats though.
  • Avoid the crowds of holborn and head here on a sunny day!
  • Nice snug little pub tucked away from the main drag.
  • Not sure if they have a cat or just a picture of a cat which is sadly an ex-cat... Next time I'll ask. Wonderful building and atmosphere, food looks nice and reasonably priced too.
