Tips

  • The focus is on "under-utilized local species" like porgy, monkfish and flounder, with a "Daily Landings" board heralding the catch of the day. Try the Reel Deal: choice of fish, sauce, and side.
  • If you care about good food, sustainability of seafood, and the livelihood of American fishermen, this is it. Get the reel deal, share some tacos and ask how they caught the fish!
  • Don't miss the Reel Deal. Porgy with brown butter sauce was so tasty + mashed sweet potatoes, green beans, and Brussels with apples were AMAZING! Skip the crowds by going for weekday lunch. Love!
  • Check out the killer Spicy Squid tacos, topped with kale, apple, cotija cheese, and corn nuts.
  • The Reel Deal is no joke, choose a white flaky fish from the daily landings blackboard, pair it with the red curry sauce, and a junior IPA!
  • It was extremely busy tonight and we ended up waiting about 1.5 hours for 2 people. Our waitress was amazing though. Poke and the blackfish were both delicious.
  • One of my new fav seafood spots. I had the fish of the day sandwich and loved it. Avocado lovers won't be disappointed.
  • "Oh-Boy." Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. If the name of this sandwich doesn't strike fear in to your heart the Moby Dick sized portion of skate will.
  • the blackened fish was amazing. service and decor was great as well. closest thing to montauk in nyc.
  • The Kale + Avocado Salad and Fish Tacos are a must!
  • Spicy squid tacos are definitely good, and generous portions on the sweet potato fries.
  • Thinking about getting the fish tacos? Don't. Get the spicy squid instead!
  • The Reel Deel is the way to go.
  • For $22, the Reel Deal gets you a pice of freshly caught local fish, your choice of sauce, and all 3 daily sides.
  • "Fresh and sustainable seafood brought to us by Michael Chernow, the guy from The Meatball Shop. 'Nough said." - Alexa Mehraban, @EatingNYC
  • Fantastic. Tuna poke, spicy squid tacos (actually spicy and perfect), and fish of the day were all on point. Surprised at how good it was. Loved the cucumber mint and gin cocktail.
  • Great value, tasty seafood from the Meatball Shop team -- just stay to the right column to get the seared fish tacos, blackened fish sandwich, etc. The tuna poke to start, too.
  • The squid tacos are kick-ass.
  • Best dishes: calamari and crispy fish tacos. Best cocktail: Shore Thing.
  • Poke was full of flavor. The fried fish tacos light and crispy. They also a crisp and refreshing light mediterranean rose. A perfect summer lunch.
