  • Soft shell crab, veal, beet salad, deserts. Just awesome.
  • The emphasis for this menu always has been on seasonal ingredients and world flavors, and while it's refined, it can be downright playful.
  • Here you will find inventive, complicated, and delicious dishes. The chef applies his French technique to roots cooking such as a timbale of smoked salmon with rye cake.

  • If you are a Milwaukee native or just visiting, you can't do better than Sanford. We have dined in every "big" city and Sanford is among the greats. Service is beyond excellent and the food excels.
  • Special occasion place. Food art. The sauces, salad, cheese plate, Pear tart, all heavenly. I can see why it comes up as a best restaurant in Milwaukee, especially if you lean toward seafood.
  • 7 course tasting menu with wine pairings is a must! Best meal ever. Great service, fun.
  • Grilled Pear & Roquefort Tart w/ carmelized onions & walnuts. Eat it and thank us later: you still have the rest of your meal to go. How about Chargrilled Loin of Elk? Indeed! (Knock-your-socks-off!)
